This collection of Form Two Second Term Opening Examinations for July 2026 follows the official Tanzanian secondary school curriculum. Each paper is structured into three sections – Section A (15 marks), Section B (70 marks), and Section C (15 marks) – with a total duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. The assessments cover core subjects, testing theoretical knowledge, practical application, and problem-solving skills, making them ideal for revision, classroom use, and exam preparation.

📘 Agriculture Examination
This paper focuses on the principles and practices of crop and livestock production. It covers plant nutrition, soil fertility, land preparation, crop propagation, spacing, harvesting methods, and climate-smart agriculture. It also includes livestock management, breeding systems, feeding practices, and common diseases affecting crops and animals. The exam evaluates learners’ ability to define key agricultural terms, calculate plant population, and explain sustainable farming techniques.

🧬 Biology Examination
The Biology exam assesses fundamental concepts in living organisms. Topics include types of nutrition, the human digestive system, teeth structure, enzymes, balanced diet, and nutritional disorders. It also covers transport systems in plants and animals, heart structure, blood circulation, osmosis, diffusion, transpiration, respiration, and food tests. The paper tests understanding of biological processes, organ adaptations, and the role of nutrients in growth and health.

💼 Business Studies Examination
This paper introduces learners to the basics of commerce and enterprise. It covers factors of production, types of labour, business classification, sources of finance, profit and loss calculation, warehousing, inventory management, business opportunities, and budgeting. It also explains the POUR model for identifying opportunities and functions of management, aiming to develop practical knowledge for starting and running small businesses.

⚗️ Chemistry Examination
The Chemistry exam explores the structure of matter and chemical interactions. It includes atomic structure, sub-atomic particles, electronic configuration, the periodic table, chemical bonding, and types of chemical reactions. It also covers properties of acids, bases, and salts, the pH scale, indicators, solubility rules, and preparation of salts. The assessment focuses on writing chemical equations, calculations, and understanding the properties of common substances.

English Language Examination
This paper evaluates language proficiency and communication skills. It covers intonation, word formation using prefixes and suffixes, verb tenses, cohesive devices, expressing opinions, polite disagreement, summarising information, and non-verbal communication. It also includes formal writing tasks such as speech composition, testing grammar accuracy, vocabulary range, and the ability to organise ideas logically.

🌍 Geography Examination
Geography content focuses on physical geography and map skills. It includes the internal structure of the Earth, types of rocks, vulcanicity, weathering, mass wasting, river processes, landforms, earthquakes, and volcanoes. It also covers map reading, scale, gradient calculation, vertical exaggeration, and interpretation of aerial photographs. The exam assesses understanding of natural processes and their effects on human activities.

📜 History Examination
This paper covers the history of Africa and East Africa from pre-colonial times to the early colonial era. It includes early trade contacts, the Trans-Saharan and Indian Ocean trade, the arrival and rule of the Portuguese, the Trans-Atlantic and East African slave trade, migrations such as the Ngoni, the abolition of the slave trade, and the Berlin Conference. It tests chronological knowledge, causes and effects of historical events, and analysis of their long-term impacts.

📚 Historia ya Tanzania na Maadili
Mtihani huu unaangazia historia ya Tanzania na maadili ya kitaifa. Inajumuisha mifumo ya utawala wa kikoloni chini ya Wajerumani na Waingereza, mapambano ya upinzani kama vile Vita vya Maji Maji, uundaji wa vyama vya kisiasa, kupatikana kwa uhuru wa Tanganyika na Zanzibar, Muungano wa 1964, na maadili kama vile uzalendo, usawa, na haki. Inajaribu uelewa wa historia ya nchi na umuhimu wa maadili kwa maendeleo ya jamii.

🗣️ Kiswahili Examination
Mtihani huu unajaribu uwezo wa lugha ya Kiswahili kwa usahihi na matumizi. Inajumuisha sarufi kama vile ngeli za nomino, viambishi vya urejeshi, aina za sentensi, vishazi, na tamathali za semi. Pia inajumuisha ustadi wa kusoma, kuelewa, muhtasari, uandishi wa insha za hoja na wasifu, na uandishi wa kumbukumbu za mikutano. Lengo ni kukuza uwezo wa mawasiliano kwa usahihi na ufasaha.

🧮 Mathematics Examination
This paper covers numerical and analytical skills. It includes calculations of speed, distance, time, exchange rates, work rates, and proportions. It also covers algebra, indices, logarithms, set theory, geometry, congruence, similarity of shapes, trigonometry, and solving equations. The exam tests logical reasoning, accuracy in calculations, and the ability to apply mathematical formulas to real-life problems.

🔭 Physics Examination
The Physics exam introduces basic concepts in energy, matter, and forces. It includes static electricity, current electricity, Ohm’s law, series and parallel circuits, magnetism, methods of magnetisation and demagnetisation, reflection and refraction of light, mirrors, lenses, and colours of light. It assesses understanding of physical laws, calculations, and explanation of natural phenomena.
