FORM ONE TERMINAL EXAMINATION MOSHI DISTRICT COUNCIL

This is Form One First Terminal Examinations (May 2026) follows the official Tanzanian secondary school curriculum. Each paper is structured into Section A (15 marks), Section B (70 marks), and Section C (15 marks), with a total duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. These assessments cover core and optional subjects, testing foundational knowledge, understanding, and application — ideal for early secondary revision and assessment.

🗣️ KISWAHILI – MSIMBO 021
Mtihani huu unajumuisha uwezo wa kusoma, kuandika, kuzungumza, na kuelewa lugha ya Kiswahili. Sehemu A inahusu sarufi ya msingi, aina za maneno, muundo wa sentensi, na maana za maneno. Sehemu B inajaribu uwezo wa kutumia lugha kwa usahihi, kutofautisha visawe na tafsiri, na kuelewa matumizi ya alama za uandishi. Sehemu C inahitaji uwezo wa kuandika insha, barua, au hadithi kwa kuzingatia muundo na maudhui sahihi.

🇬🇧 ENGLISH LANGUAGE – CODE 022
This exam tests listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Section A covers grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, parts of speech, and correct word usage. Section B includes changing sentences into negative/interrogative forms, using tenses, articles, prepositions, and understanding the meaning and pronunciation of words. Section C assesses comprehension, dialogue writing, describing people and activities, and writing short compositions or letters.

🧬 BIOLOGY – CODE 033
Biology is the study of living things and their environment. Section A tests basic concepts: definition and branches of biology, characteristics of living organisms, laboratory rules, and scientific tools. Section B covers the scientific method, use of microscopes and collecting equipment, classification of organisms, and skills like observation and measurement. Section C explains the importance of biology in health, agriculture, environmental conservation, and daily life.

⚗️ CHEMISTRY – CODE 032
This subject deals with matter, its composition, properties, and changes. Section A focuses on the meaning and uses of chemistry, laboratory safety rules, safety signs, apparatus, and their uses. Section B covers first aid procedures, reasons for using glassware, skills for scientific work, and the relationship between chemistry and other fields. Section C explains how chemistry benefits agriculture, medicine, industry, transport, and household activities.

⚙️ PHYSICS – CODE 031
Physics studies matter, energy, and their interactions. Section A defines physics, its branches, and instruments used for measuring length, mass, volume, and density. Section B explains the scientific investigation process, correct use of measuring tools, types of errors, and applications of physics in homes, hospitals, and technology. Section C compares mass and weight, calculates volume and density, and highlights the importance of physics in understanding natural phenomena.

🕌 ELIMU YA DINI YA KIISILAMU (EDK) – MSIMBO 015
Mtihani huu unahusu misingi ya imani, ibada, maadili, na ufunuo katika Uisilamu. Inajaribu uelewa wa msingi wa Quran, Sunnah, na jinsi ya kuzitumia katika maisha ya kila siku. Sehemu A ina maswali ya kuchagua jibu na kulinganisha maneno, inayohusu asili ya mwanadamu, kusudi la kuumbwa, na sifa za muumini. Sehemu B ina maswali ya ufafanuzi wa kina kuhusu nguzo sita za imani, aina za elimu, sifa za waumini, aina za Shirki, na njia za kuhifadhi Quran. Sehemu C inahitaji ufafanuzi wa njia ambazo Mwenyezi Mungu hutumia kuwasiliana na waja wake.

💻 COMPUTER SCIENCE – CODE 037
This exam introduces basic concepts of computers. Section A covers the definition of a computer, its generations, hardware vs software, input/output/storage devices, and types of computers. Section B explains the IPOS cycle, system vs application software, and uses of computers in education, business, and health. Section C discusses advantages and risks of using computers, and their role in modern society.

🚜 AGRICULTURE – CODE 034
Agriculture covers crop production, animal rearing, and soil management. Section A tests definitions of agriculture branches, soil types, properties, and characteristics. Section B explains resources needed for farming, components and formation of soil, role of organic matter, and classification of crops. Section C describes the importance of agriculture for food security, income, employment, and the economy.

📘 BIBLE KNOWLEDGE – CODE 014
This subject is based on biblical teachings, faith, and moral values. Section A covers creation stories, qualities of God, responsibilities of humans, and key biblical figures. Section B explains the importance of light, ways to protect the environment, faithfulness to God, and effects of harmful habits like alcohol. Section C discusses the benefits of studying the Bible for spiritual growth, character development, and understanding life purpose.

📜 HISTORY – CODE 012
History studies past events and human development. Section A defines history, its sources, and theories of human origin. Section B covers methods of obtaining food by early humans, discovery and uses of fire, types of historical sources, and differences between historical terms. Section C explains the importance of studying history to understand origins, promote unity, and learn from past experiences.

📜 HISTORIA YA TANZANIA NA MAADILI – MSIMBO 060
(Note: This subject remains in Kiswahili as requested earlier)Mtihani huu unaunganisha matukio ya kihistoria ya Tanzania na misingi ya maadili. Sehemu A inahusu maana ya historia na maadili, makundi ya jamii za asili, na sifa za kila kundi. Sehemu B inaelezea asili za jamii, sababu za uhamiaji, malengo ya maadili, matukio muhimu kabla, wakati, na baada ya ukoloni. Sehemu C inaeleza umuhimu wa kujifunza historia na maadili kwa ujenzi wa utu, uzalendo, na amani.

🧾 BOOK KEEPING – CODE 062
This subject introduces basic accounting principles. Section A defines terms like capital, assets, liabilities, debtors, and drawings. Section B covers accounting concepts, types of accounts, and rules of double-entry. Section C includes completing the accounting equation, recording transactions, and preparing simple cash accounts, as well as explaining the importance of keeping business records.

🛒 BUSINESS STUDIES – CODE 065
Business Studies introduces economic activities and entrepreneurship. Section A defines needs, wants, goods, services, and factors of production. Section B explains business concepts like exchange, consumption, and characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. Section C describes business processes, importance of entrepreneurship for employment and development, and basic management skills.

🇫🇷 FRENCH LANGUAGE – CODE 023
This exam tests basic French communication. Section A covers greetings, introductions, pronouns, verbs, and simple grammar. Section B includes reading short texts, numbers, vocabulary for daily objects, and sentence construction. Section C requires writing a short composition introducing oneself, including personal details, family, and daily activities.
