3. Genesis chapter three narrates the most fearful and dramatic story about the entering of sin and death in the world. Use the following concepts to give your view and understanding from this story.
(a) Briefly describe what sin is.
(b) God said to Adam and Eve, "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:17). Why do you think only eating the forbidden fruit shall be punished by death?

(c) Sin caused the death of Abel. What lessons can you draw from the story of Cain and Abel?

4. Peter and John were before the Sanhedrin (Acts 4:1-22).
(a) How did the Sanhedrin respond to Peter's and John’s preaching about Jesus, and what does it reveal about their priorities in justice?
(b) What was the core of Peter's and John’s defence before the Sanhedrin, and how does it relate to judicial integrity?
(c) How did the Sanhedrin balance legal judgement with their desire to suppress the apostles’ message?

5. In His first public sermon, popularly called the Sermon on the Mount, the Saviour outlined principles of Christian lifestyle. Newness of life in Christ is reflected in the Beatitudes [blessings] and Woes (Matthew 5-7).

6. "The kingdom of heaven is like ten maidens who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were fools and five were wise” (Matthew 25:1-13).
(a) What does the oil in the lamps represent in the context of preparing for life’s challenges?

7. Matthew 25:14-30 is about the parable of the talents. As a fourth-form student, use the guiding questions below to give your opinions by relating what happened in the parable to show how you can utilise your talents to the maximum degree for excellence in all spheres of life.

8. Luke's Gospel features numerous verses highlighting the importance of prayer. Jesus himself is depicted praying in various significant moments, such as before choosing the twelve apostles and during his transfiguration. The disciples ask Jesus to teach them to pray, leading to the Lord's Prayer in Luke 11:1-4.

11. From the very beginning Luke reports that there were only 120 members before the Pentecost (Acts 1:15), but following the sermon preached by Peter on the Pentecost day, about 3000 souls were added to the church. Luke again is letting you know how life was in this rapidly growing church as described in Acts 2:42-47 and Acts 4:32-37. Use four points to discuss how communal life has become difficult in today’s society.

12. The book of Acts displays the mighty work of the Lord for those who trust in him, though going through persecution for his name's sake. With four points, show how the persecution motivates the rapid spread of the Christian faith in the early church.

13. One of the agendas of the United Nations is gender equality in all aspects and governments. Using the creation story proves that gender equality was established by God since His creation and His people must keep it. Give four points in your discussion.
